Help Barton Hill Festival raise £4000 without spending a penny!
Next time you do the weekly shop at Tesco you could help Travelling Light provide a free family arts festival for the community of Barton Hill.
Barton Hill Festival has been selected to compete in the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ scheme, this means that Tesco customers in East Bristol can vote in store for which charity initiative they would like to see supported. Like the other charities, Travelling light will receive a minimum of £1000 just for being involved, and with your help we could win up to £4000 towards a festival celebrating the fantastic creativity and diversity of Barton Hill, where Travelling Light are based.
The stores where you can cast your vote are:
BS15 1PN Bristol Soundwell Express
BS5 7NF Bristol Bell Hill Express
BS5 6XU Bristol East
BS16 5NP Bristol Staple Hill
BS16 3PQ Fishponds Bristol Express
BS15 9RR Kingswood Bristol Express
BS16 9JB Mangotsfield Express

Barton Hill Festival will take place this autumn, hosted by Travelling Light, Up Our Street and Barton Hill Settlement and the programme is already packed with a range of performances, culturally diverse activities and food from around the world. The partners have been holding regular festival forums for local people to have their say. This is an event curated for and by the people of Barton Hill. We’ve had some brilliant ideas, from planet-friendly bug hotels to a sensory exploration room for young people with additional needs.
There really is something for everyone, so whether you’re doing the big shop or just picking up a few bits for tonight, your vote could make a huge difference to the families of Barton Hill.
Created and delivered by young people, community members and professional artists, Barton Hill Festival will run from 11am to 5.45pm on Sunday 29th October 2017.
