The Mysterious Case of the Missing Voice (Super Film) featuring the Snow Queen
Over the summer term our Louder Than Words youth theatre group worked with filmmaker S-J Cooper-White and designer Edwina Bridgeman, to create a fantastic film ‘The Mysterious Case of the Missing Voice (super film) featuring the Snow Queen’. During the term the group devised and rehearsed the scenes for the film and created costumes and back drops for the different worlds featured in the story.
Louder Than Words is our free youth theatre group for disabled young people aged 7+ years. They meet weekly at the Travelling Light Studio in Barton Hill Bristol during school term and are supported by our incredible team of Youth Theatre Facilitators and Assistants who work so hard to deliver creative, challenging and fun sessions for the group each week.
The young participants, family and friends attended a film premiere and awards ceremony at Arnolfini Bristol on 15th July. Louise Betts, Youth & Community Officer at Travelling Light said the premiere was “ a wonderful celebration of the collaborative and creative process that went into making this film. It was a privilege to work with the Louder Than Words group on this project. I am excited to see what the group creates next!”
Watch the film and join us for an adventure that takes us to this world and beyond!
And if you are in the centre of Bristol over the summer months you might just catch the film screened in Millennium Square by We the Curious.
